ウォルピスカーターの「晴天前夜」です！

Here is my translation/interpretation of Wolpis Kater's "Seiten Zenya" ^^

This is a song about facing ourselves, of internal conflict, and of wishes and hopes. It could be interpreted as depressing, but also as comforting. I personally took it as something in the middle.

I was pretty liberal with this translation, so much of it isn't literal at all, but rather what I feel the lyrics are trying to convey, and how the lyrics speak to me.

I've also included the romaji for the Japanese lyrics. (I opted not to type out the kana for them because that's a lot of work lol)

晴天 = sunny day, fair weather/skies

前夜 = night before

If I possessed a name that anyone would envy,

That freedom which we’ve each only got one—it doesn't even have a name

Notice how the word「名前」"name" is in the first line of the song and the last line as well. The resonance is truly amazing. As my English teacher keeps telling us: in a good essay, the conclusion has to tie back to the intro.
